Before implementing the account registration process, identify the following information:
- The master plan(s) you are offering.
- The supplemental plan(s) you are offering.
- Acceptable payment methods (Examples: credit card, ACH, or net terms).
- The coupons you are offering.
- Your account billing date (account creation date or a different date).
- The layout and contents of your statements.
Preconditions
Complete the following tasks before registering an account:
Postconditions
At the end of the account registration process, the following results are achieved:
- In the credit card, net terms, and electronic check payment flows:
- If your event notifications are enabled in Aria6, then the applicable notifications are transmitted.
For example, you receive a notification stating that an account was created. You can then complete the applicable actions required by your company for new accounts. - A new account exists.
- If your event notifications are enabled in Aria6, then the applicable notifications are transmitted.
- In the net terms payment flows: A statement is sent to the customer.
- In the credit card or electronic check (ACH) payment flows:
- If the credit card authorization succeeds
-or- - The bank routing number is validated and the payment method is set to ACH:
- Any generated pending invoice is approved.
- A payment is collected from the customer.
- A statement is sent to the customer.
- If the credit card authorization succeeds
- In the credit card and electronic check payment flows:
- If the payment collection process fails:
- The account goes into dunning. The dunning process does not begin if the payment collection failed due to reasons beyond the customer’s control such as a server error or a payment processor error.
- Any generated pending invoice is deleted after three days based on the default setting in your Aria implementation unless the customer returns to your site and provides a valid form of payment before the 3 days elapse.
