Upgrade to Aria for Salesforce 2.0 (SFDCDEV-51)
Aria for Salesforce 2.0 has recently been released, which offers the below new and enhanced functionalities.
Please reference the Aria for Salesforce Version 2.0 user guide for more information.
Enhanced Plan Wizard Usability and Functionality
As part of the Aria for Salesforce 2.0 upgrade, the chevrons in the plan wizard have been replaced with configurable, expand/collapse sections that do not require you to click through each step. These new configurable options control which user profiles can see which plan wizard sections and further control which plans are available for selection during the quoting process. This enhanced plan wizard also allows you to insert custom Visualforce pages as a required step of the plan wizard process.
This enhanced plan wizard also includes new PriceBook and Address forms, as well as the ability to select a plan and then select from a list of valid billing intervals for that plan.
Please reference the Aria for Salesforce 2.0 guide for how to complete each step of the new plan wizard, how to turn off specified plan wizard steps, and how to insert custom Visualforce pages.
New Quick View Section on Account Page
A new Quick View section has been added to the Account page, which displays high-level data, based on transaction records pulled from Aria. What data displays in this section can be customized by navigating to All Tabs > Aria General Configuration > Quick View. When selecting each component from the drop-down, you can choose whether to hide or display the component image within the Quick View section.
Note: This section is only available if the setting was chosen to persist Aria transactions in Salesforce. Please reference the Aria for Salesforce 2.0 guide for instructions on turning on the Sync Aria Transactions to SFDC Objects setting.
Enhanced Access to Aria Data
A new Refresh from Aria button has been added to the Account page, which runs an on-demand sync of Aria account data. Clicking this button refreshes the following data:
A new Refresh Aria Transactions button has also been added to the Account page, which pulls transaction records on-demand.
Note: The Refresh Aria Transactions button is only available if the setting was chosen to persist Aria transactions in Salesforce. Please reference the Aria for Salesforce 2.0 guide for instructions on turning on the Sync Aria Transactions to SFDC Objects setting.
Aria transactions are stored in the following new custom objects in Salesforce: invoices, transactions, statements, comments, payments, refunds, and usage histories.
New Ability to Use Standard Salesforce Objects
With the release of Aria for Salesforce 2.0, client plans in Aria can now be mapped to products in Salesforce. Along with the new configurable PriceBook selection within the plan wizard, opportunity products now contain the plans selected during the quoting process and are populated when quotes are synced with opportunities.
Note: The Salesforce Connector 1.0 version must first be uninstalled before the 2.0 version can be installed. Any existing extensions performed against Aria fields must be removed before 1.0 can be uninstalled and must be reapplied after 2.0 is installed. The Aria data can be re-synced after 2.0 is installed.
