Select Subscription Plans from Aria

Overview

You can select subscription plans from Aria for opportunities or quotes from the All Plans form. To configure which plans (and supplemental plans) should display for which users in the All Plans form, first follow the steps in the Prerequisites section below.

Prerequisites

Getting Here: Click All Tabs > Aria General Configurations > Plan Selection tab

  1. Un-check the All Profile column of any plan or supplemental plan that should not display within the All Plans form.

A Select Profile input field displays.

  1. If more than one billing interval is available, choose the billing interval from the Billing Interval drop-down.

If a plan is created multiple times with different billing intervals in Aria, you can configure the plans to display as one plan in Salesforce with multiple billing intervals. To do so, add a product supplemental field in Aria called SFDC_PlanName and populate this field with the same value for all related plans. In Salesforce, these plans will be displayed as one plan with the option to select the billing interval from the Billing Interval drop-down.

Note: The default selection for a drop-down with more than one billing interval is Monthly.

  1. Enter the number of units in the Unit field.

The Net Price field updates based on the number of units.

  1. Enter a discount amount in the Discount (%) field.
  2. Click the plus sign to the left of the master plan to view plan details, add a rate tier, adjust custom rates, and select any supplemental plans to include in the opportunity or quote.

Services and supplemental plans associated with that master plan display in a new window.

A new rate tier is added with a From value that is "1" greater than the inputted To value.

Note: Associated rate schedules can be viewed by clicking the left and right arrows next to the rate schedule name (ServiceSchNo1 in the example below).

  1. Double click a number in the Custom Rate column to adjust the value, if applicable.

The Net Price field updates based on the new value.

  1. Click the checkbox to the left to select each supplemental plan(s), if applicable.

Supplemental plan details can be viewed by clicking the plus sign to the left of the supplemental plan name.

Note: If a single $0 master plan is used, the Aria for Salesforce app automatically hides the master plan and displays the component supplemental plans in the wizard.

Editing Subscription Plans from Aria

Getting Here: Select an opportunity or quote > click Add/Modify Plans > All Plans

Supplemental plans that are not associated with the customer's new master plan(s) will be removed.

  1. Follow steps 2-6 listed above to select or adjust each master plan's billing interval, units, discount amount, and custom rates, if applicable.
  2. If there are supplemental plans associated with the plan(s), select or re-assign any supplemental plans that you want to assign to the customer.

Note: If you edit an opportunity whose plan assignment has already been saved to Aria, a new opportunity is automatically created. The plan assignment in the new opportunity is synchronized with the account in Aria unless you save the plan assignment to Aria.

  1. Follow steps 7-10 listed above to select each supplemental plan's billing interval, units, and discount amount, if applicable.
  2. Click Commit or Save as Draft.

After the updated plan assignment has been saved to Aria for an opportunity or synced to an opportunity for a quote, the account screen displays. The assigned plans for an opportunity are listed in the Account Plans section in the "active" status, as shown below. If you specified that a plan assignment for an opportunity should begin on the anniversary date, then the status of the plan is "active pending". The assigned plans for a quote display in the Account Plans section in the "quote" status.

In the Aria Fields section, the Aria MRR Total reflects the monthly recurring revenue for Aria plans, as shown below. The Aria MMR Total reflects only Aria plans, not opportunity products. The Aria Opportunity Total or Aria Quote Total is the total of Aria MRR Total and Aria Orders (one time purchase offerings). Refer to the Salesforce Field Calculations article for additional information.
