Each version of event notification provides a different set of events and requires the applicable XSD and DTD files for that version.

You must use the correct version of the XSD and DTD files if you want to validate the data in your event notifications sent to you as XML documents. Please contact Aria Systems Customer Support if you need access to version 3 or any future new versions of event notification for a particular event group.

  • By default, you are assigned version 2 of event groups 1 to 4.
  • The Usage Monitoring group (event group 5) is in version 3 by default.
  • Currently, only event group 1 is available in versions 2 and 3.
  • Version 3 of event group 1 features a new event called Account Comment Added (event ID 127). This event provides you with the last comment added to an account.
  • Version 3.1 of event group 1 provides product field names and values for any master or supplemental plans included in an event notification. (Product fields were formerly known as supplemental object fields.).
  • Version 3.1 of event group 4 features a new event called Account Message Type "XML Statement" Requires Sending (event ID 442). This event informs you that an XML statement for a customer has been generated.

Please see the API documentation for more information about using the get_aria_xml_statement API call to retrieve XML statements.

  • Version 3.1 of event group 5 provides events 507-510.
