Aria Media and Publishing Suite (AMPS) - Campaign Management

Overview

The Campaign Management component is responsible for managing the campaigns that are offered by the client at any given time. The campaign provides exclusive offers for a period after which the subscription rolls into a standard subscription. Campaign Management provides the following major capabilities:

  • Campaigns - a campaign defines the behavior of the campaign such as duration, cost, selection criteria, etc. Campaigns are checked in a configurable sequence and when a campaign has been deemed eligible, checking of subsequent campaigns stops.

Campaign Management

The Campaign Management component consists of the services, reports, and sub-flows shown in the below diagram.

Each of the services and sub-flows in support of this functionality is described below:

Manage Campaign Detail [CampManageCampDetail]

"Manage Campaign Detail" is a service used to add, modify or remove Campaign details from the solution.

Retrieve Campaign Detail [CampRetrieveCampDetail]

"Retrieve Campaign Detail" is a service used to retrieve a specific Campaign, or all Campaign details currently registered in the system.

Manage Campaign Selection [CampManageCampSelection]

"Manage Campaign Selection" is a service used to add, modify or remove Campaign selection rules from the solution. The selection rules define the sequence in which the check for Campaigns are performed.

Retrieve Campaign Selection [CampRetrieveCampSelection]

"Retrieve Campaign Selection" is a service used to retrieve all Campaign selection rules currently registered in the system.

Check Campaign Eligibility [CampCheckCampaignEligibility]

"Check Campaign Eligibility" is a sub-flow used, when returning eligible offerings, to check whether the current offerings are eligible for Campaigns. Whether the Campaign applies depends on the Campaign detail as well as what the customer has already purchased.

Note: See "Interface and Integration Definitions for Campaign Management" for the API methods used for Campaign Management when integrating with AMPS.
