Create an Account with a Future Plan Activation Date

Overview

You can create an account with a future activation date if:

  • You have a customer who wants service to start on a date after the account creation date; or
  • You first need to complete processes such as these:
    • Install equipment; or
    • Screen/obtain confirmation from the customer.

Example: on 8 December 2018, you create an account for a customer who wants service to start on 10 December 2018 for a monthly plan.

On the plan activation date (10 December 2018), Aria will bill the customer for a full month's charges covering the period from 10 December 2018 to 9 January 2019.

After that, the customer will be billed on the 10th of every month for charges covering a period from the 10th to the 9th of the month.

To create an account with a future plan activation date, pass values into the create_acct_complete_m API as shown in the sample call below.

Notes:

  • The <alt_start_date> that you pass in cannot be more than one billing cycle into the future.
  • You cannot use <alt_start_date> and <alt_bill_day> in the same call.

Sample Call

  1. Call the create_acct_complete_m API using the fields in the basic registration use case.
  2. Pass values into the additional fields identified below:
