Complete Pre-Installation Steps

Overview

After confirming your system meets the requirements, perform the following pre-installation steps:

  1. Enable quotes
  2. Set up Salesforce profiles

Enable Quotes

If you have not used the quotes functionality in the past or if you are new to Salesforce, you must enable quotes.

  1. Log in to Salesforce as a System Administrator.
  2. Go to Setup.
  3. Click Customize.

  1. Click Quotes.
  2. Click Settings.

  1. Select Enable Quotes.
  2. Click Save.

Set up Salesforce Profiles

There are two Aria profiles available within Aria for Salesforce. During the installation process, you must associate each of your Salesforce profiles with your chosen Aria profile.

  • Aria Standard User
    This profile has access to features such as the following: view, create, edit, and delete accounts, contacts, contracts, documents, opportunities, and quotes.
  • Aria Admin User
    This profile has access to features such as the following: view, create, edit, and delete accounts, contacts, contracts, documents, opportunities, quotes, account plans, account rate tiers, Aria API configuration, Aria supplemental field mappings, client plan relationships, services, and rate schedules.

You must set up your Salesforce profiles to provide your Salesforce users with functionality available to Aria profiles.

Note: It is recommended that you create two new profiles that you then map to the Aria profiles during the installation process. This provides you access to the two Aria profiles after the installation process. If you do not create the two aforementioned profiles or map your existing profiles to the two Aria profiles during the installation process, you cannot access the Aria profiles after the installation process.

  1. Click Manage Users.

  1. Click Profiles.

  1. Click New Profile or Clone.

  1. Select the Existing Profile on which to base the new profile.
  2. Enter the Profile Name. You can enter each of the two profile names that you will map to the Aria profiles during the installation process. These profile names are:
  • Aria Standard User
  • Aria Admin User
  1. Click Save.
  2. Repeat steps 3-6 above to create the second profile that you will map to an Aria profile.
