Inserting a Custom Lightning Component

Overview

You can insert custom screens in Aria for Salesforce known as Lightning components or objects.

In addition to turning off specified plan wizard steps, the process for setting up an opportunity or quote can be customized by inserting custom Lightning Components. When inserting Lightning Components, the following values are customizable:

  • Name of the custom section
  • Visibility of the custom section
  • Lightning Component Name
  • Position
  • Custom Header Name
  • Profile Access

Inserting a Custom Lightning Component 

Getting Here: Click All Tabs > Aria General Configurations > Custom Section tab > Navigation UI Section

  1. Insert a custom section name into the Section Name field.
     
  2. Check the Visible check box if you want the Custom Section to show on the Manage Plans screen of Opportunities.
     
  3. Enter the Lightning Component Name.

    Note: You must prepend the Lightning Component Name with "ASF3:" In the example above, the component name is Test_Name4, so the value of Lightning Component Name is ASF3:Test_Name4.
     
  4. In the first Position field, choose Insert Down if you want the navigation link for the component to be below the specified navigation link (in the next step); or Insert Up if you want the navigation link for the component to be above the specified navigation link (in the next step).
     
  5. In the second Position field, choose the existing navigation link on the Manage Plans screen of an Opportunity you want to position the Lightning Component navigation link for the Lightning Component next to.
     
  6. Enter a Custom Header Name. It can be the name of a Standard Salesforce Custom Label

    Note: If Custom Header Name is left blank, then the name of the custom section on the Manage Plans screen of Opportunities will be the text entered in Section Name. If a custom label name is entered in Custom Header Name, then the name of the custom section in the Manage Plans screen of Opportunities will be the value of the Custom Label.
     
  7. Check the Profile Access checkbox if you want to limit access to the Lightning Component to all user profiles. You can grant access to selected user profiles by unchecking the Profile Access checkbox and selecting the desired user profiles in the Profile selection box that pops up.
     
  8. Click Save Settings.
