Sync a Quote with an Opportunity

Overview

After a customer has agreed to purchase plans based on one of your quotes, you can sync the quote with an opportunity. You can then save the plan assignment in the opportunity to Aria in order for the plan assignment in the quote to be synchronized with the account in Aria. You can stop syncing a quote with an opportunity at any time.

Note: Only one quote can be synced with an opportunity at any point in time. If you sync a new quote with an opportunity that is already synced with a quote, the new quote will override the existing quote.

After a plan assignment in an opportunity has been saved to Aria, changes made to the quote with which it is synced will no longer be reflected in the opportunity and vice versa. If you need to change the corresponding customer’s plan assignment, you must create a new opportunity or quote.

Syncing a Quote with an Opportunity

Getting Here: Click Opportunities > select an opportunity > Quotes

  1. Click on the quote that you want to sync.

  1. Click Start Sync.
  2. Click Sync.

Note: You can disregard the message stating that there are no quote line items in the quote. This message appears because Salesforce expects the quote to include quote line items (native Salesforce features) instead of Aria plans. After you click Sync, the quote will be successfully synced with the opportunity.

  1. Click Done.

The quote is successfully synced with the opportunity. Going forward, changes made to the quote will be reflected in the opportunity and vice versa.

Note: You must save the plan assignment in the corresponding opportunity to Aria in order for the plan assignment in the quote to be synchronized with the account in Aria. Please see the instructions below.

Save the Plan Assignment in an Opportunity to Aria

Getting Here: Click Opportunities > select an opportunity > Add/Modify Plans

  1. Click Commit.

After the updated plan assignment has been saved to Aria, the account screen displays. The assigned plans will be listed in the Account Planssection in the active status. If you specified that a plan assignment should begin on the anniversary date, then the status of the plan will be active pending.

Note: After a plan assignment in an opportunity has been saved to Aria, changes made to the quote with which it is synced will no longer be reflected in the opportunity and vice versa. If you need to change the corresponding customer’s plan assignment, you must create a new opportunity or quote.
