Enable a Retroactive Start Date for Plans

You can add a plan with a retroactive start date. Once added, one or more invoices for the past period(s) is immediately generated to account for the billing period up to the current bill date. You can bill the charges for any number of periods retroactively, restricted by parent plan start date for supplemental plans, either as individual bills or as a single consolidated bill of the retrospective periods.

To enable this functionality, you must configure the new Use alternate proration start date as plan assignment date for retroactive additions client parameter under Invoice Settings.

Enable Client Parameter

Getting Here: Click Configuration > Billing > Invoice Settings

  1. Navigate to the Use alternate proration start date as plan assignment date for retroactive additions parameter.
