Account Updater

Overview

Account Updater automatically updates your payment account information. Card account information changes for many reasons, including card expirations, lost or stolen cards, upgrades, or issuing banks converting card brands. Using Account Updater provides the following advantages:

  • Prevents interruption of customer service due to non-payment
  • Reduces customer cancelation by maintaining the payment relationship
  • Minimizes costs associated with collections and with updating accounts manually
  • Keeps the updating process transparent to customers

Account Updater is provided by card networks such as Visa and MasterCard. Individual payment processors, such as Chase Paymentech, have the option to offer the service. The update process varies depending on whether the credit card information is held by the payment processor or within the Aria system.

Account Updater Prerequisites

To use Account Updater with Aria, you must:

  1. Use a payment processor that offers the Account Updater service.
  2. Register for the Account Updater service offered by the payment processor.  
  3. Configure Aria to use the Account Updater information from that specific processor.  

Aria currently supports Account Updater services offered by Chase Paymentech.

Setup for Account Updater varies by payment processor and is configured by Aria personnel. Contact your payment processor for availability and pricing.
